Saverex, the family holding company of Nicolas Saverys, is making a public takeover offer for all shares of shipping company Exmar that it does not yet own. The offer amounts to 11.10 euros per share and runs until 6 July.

The offer not only concerns the shares, but also the outstanding options on Exmar shares. Saverex already owns 45.21% of the shares in the Antwerp gas tanker shipping company. Exmar owns 3.47% of its own shares.

CEO Nicolas Saverys currently directly holds 0.01%, his close relatives 0.50%. He also owns 99.75% of Saverex. The remaining 0.25% is held by Ariane, Barbara, Carl-Antoine, Pauline and Stephanie Saverys. The Spanish investment fund Cobas, Exmar’s largest minority shareholder, has already announced that it agrees with the offer. But other small shareholders think the offer is too low.
